Meeting joining preferences

Choose which meetings Circleback automatically joins

Updated over a month ago

Once you've connected your calendar, you can choose which types of meetings Circleback automatically joins. Circleback will only join meetings that have an online meeting link (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Webex).

If you'd rather not have Circleback join as a participant, you can turn off all joining preferences and record with the desktop app instead.

Preferences for all meetings

Go to Settings β†’ Calendars. Under the Joining preferences section, you'll first choose which meeting types Circleback should join:

  • Team: Meetings where everyone invited has the same email domain as your connected calendar.

    • On accounts with personal emails, this appears as All meetings.

  • External: Meetings where some people invited don't share your email domain.

If both are off, Circleback won't automatically join any meetings.

You can then further refine with additional filters:

  • Not organized by me: Also join meetings where you're invited but not the organizer. If this is off, Circleback will only join meetings you organized.

  • Not accepted: Also join meetings you have declined or have not yet responded to. If this is off, Circleback will only join meetings you've accepted.

For example: if you have Team on, External off, and Not organized by me on β€” Circleback will join internal meetings whether you organized them or not, but will skip any meeting with external participants.

Preferences for a specific meeting

You can override your global preferences for any individual meeting from Home. Toggle an upcoming meeting to turn joining on or off for that specific meeting.

This works both ways: if your global preferences would normally skip a meeting, you can toggle it on. If they'd normally join, you can toggle it off.
