Different ways to capture meetings with Circleback

Updated this week

Circleback gives you several ways to capture meetings. Which one you use depends on the type of meeting and whether you want Circleback to join as a participant.

Whichever method you choose, we recommend connecting your calendar so that your recordings are automatically matched to their calendar events with the right title and participant names.

Circleback joins as a participant

Circleback can join your online meetings as a bot participant that captures the conversation. This works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex.

  • Calendar auto-join: Connect your calendar and set your joining preferences to have Circleback automatically join the meetings you choose. Best for capturing online meetings without downloading anything.

  • Meeting link: Manually invite Circleback by pasting a link to a live meeting. Best for last-minute or impromptu meetings not on your calendar.

Record without a bot participant

If you'd prefer not to have Circleback appear in the meeting, you can record locally.

  • Desktop app: Record with the desktop app (macOS and Windows) to capture your microphone and computer audio. The app can automatically detect when you're in a meeting and prompt you to record. Best for online meetings where you don't want a bot joining.

  • Mobile app: Record with the mobile app (iOS and Android) to capture meetings using your phone's microphone. Best for in-person meetings, conferences, and coffee chats.
